Hi guys, I'm Alanna! I have a passion for simple meals & wellness and want to share that with you.
After consistently being unhappy with my body regardless of how thin I appeared and getting sick often with several trips to the doctor's office (also from anxiety), I chose to free myself from the diet mentality so I could live my life without the fear of food holding me back. Side note: it takes hard work and does not happen overnight.
The healing
I healed my relationship with food well after becoming a dietitian and have learned so much in the process, including just how much our eating behaviors affect other parts of our lives.
My nutrition awareness and views have since then positively changed and I am glad to share the forever evolving world of nutrition with you all. I currently work with different wellness brands as a spokesperson and recipe development, and I work with private clients 1:1 virtually.
I am also passionate about yoga and meditation, both of which played a huge role in my mindset shift with food and myself overall.
professional bio
I have worked in acute-care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and outpatient settings, strengthening my clinical skills. My corporate wellness experience has allowed me to support and counsel employees (and groups) in working environments such as Columbia University Medical Center and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
