When I heard that Sabra now has squeezable spreads, I was ecstatic. First of all, I love hummus and probably eat way too much of the stuff. Secondly, how convenient are these squeeze bottles?? It makes sandwich making much more fun.
I absolutely adore hummus on a sandwich. Not only is it a better option and better for you (contains 75% less fat than mayo), but it is so tasty. I think it adds a much bigger flavor punch to your sandwich creation. The new spreads taste amazing, includes fresh ingredients and flavors.
I am highly enjoying all three spreads but I ended up going with the Sea Salt and Cracked Pepper for my Roasted Butternut & Hummus Toast. With fall produce in abundance, I had to roast my first butternut squash of the season and you guessed it, I topped my open-faced sandwich (or toast) with the leftovers. This may sound really strange to some of you but I promise, this flavor combo works!
A little sweetness from honey adds the perfect sweet to the salt. This particular Sabra spread has a bold pepper kick which is then cooled down a bit from the butternut squash. I am wanting to squeeze these Sabra spreads on everything!!
